We’re two people who’ve spent years dreaming about a life with fewer bills, less noise, and more meaning. A life where our time belongs to us, our work feeds our home, and our days are shaped by the land instead of a clock.
We’re not influencers. We’re not trying to be perfect.
We’re just learning, building, experimenting, and sharing the process as we go.
For us, self‑sufficiency isn’t about disappearing off the map.
It’s about freedom — freedom from full‑time jobs that drain us, freedom from endless bills, and freedom to build a life that feels peaceful, intentional, and ours.
It means:
growing and selling our own food
creating systems that support our daily life
building comfort with our own hands
trading, bartering, and connecting with people at our pace
living simply, but well
In the next five years, we want to build a place that feels like home the moment you step onto it:
a comfortable living space
a thriving garden and greenhouse
a fenced area where our dogs can run
happy animals
regular produce sales from the garden
a rhythm to our days that feels good
We’re not rushing. We’re building this one step at a time.
A good day for us looks like:
gathering a basket of produce from the greenhouse
collecting a dozen eggs
checking on happy animals
tending the garden
sharing dinner together at the end of the day
Simple. Quiet. Fulfilling.
We imagine mornings with the chickens, dogs, and cats.
Greenhouse checks. Garden work.
A little time updating our sales channels or sharing a small piece of our progress.
Afternoon checks, evening feedings, and a slow wind‑down.
Nothing fancy — just the life we’ve always wanted
This site is our way of documenting the journey and connecting with others who are curious about building a self‑sufficient life of their own.
We want to:
encourage new farmers and gardeners
share what we learn (including the mistakes)
keep things friendly, fun, and experimental
eventually earn a little income that helps support the build
We’re not experts.
We’re just two people learning out loud.
If you’re here to follow along, welcome.
If you’re here to learn with us, even better.
